The Best Women’s Pant for the Pacific Northwest – Kuhl Kultivatr Kargo Pant

Scrambling up a steep trail laden with slippery rocks and muddy patches on a Pacific Northwest hike, fresh after a long drizzle, is no easy task. Yet it’s exhilarating and rewarding. A good challenging hike is made even better when you are wearing the right gear.

Enter the Kuhl Kultivatr Kargo Pant.

Catchy name, don’t you think? I was lucky to find these. Explorers like myself are always looking for great-looking pants that are as good on the trail as they are in the streets of Seattle.

And the win for me? They look great with ankle hiking boots! They’re also the best hiking pants for hot weather.

I went on a day-long hike with this pant, and it delivered all of the comfort and versatility you could hope for in a travel pant. Kuhl is a brand I have loved for years – they have a huge range of fashion-forward, travel-friendly apparel. They have an exciting range of high-quality clothing, men’s and women’s tops and bottoms, outerwear, accessories, bags and packs.  It’s where fashion and function coexist seamlessly.

The Ultimate Women’s Hiking Pant

My awesome Kultivatr trousers are made of a great stretch fabric so I can move down the trail, scramble over boulders, and hike up switchbacks with ease. This particular style is made of luxurious stretch twill fabric that is a blend of cotton, modal, lyocell, Elasterell-P and Lycra® spandex.

The high recovery fabric allows for a roomy fit through the hip and thighs (something us girls really appreciate.) It’s all about comfort and Kuhl has it in spades.

The Kultivatr Pant also has versatile, buttoned pockets to securely store my cell phone and whatever little do dads I decide to bring with me. These pants feature two back and two thigh pockets with button closures as well as two hand pockets. There is also an internal drawcord to make sure it stays secure, as well as UPF 50+ fabric technology for protection from the sun.

As long as I don’t get them muddy, I can easily wear them from the trail out to a casual dinner and not think twice about it. What’s more, Kuhl has a unique garment dying process that ensures the color doesn’t fade over time. I like a little more room in my Kuhl pants, but if you prefer a closer fit, consider sizing down.

For this particular hike, I did have a little mud on my pants, courtesy of the Pacific Northwest weather. Afterwards, I went out for a beer and a bite with my hiking partner and fit right in with the other locals having a brew after a day of leisure.

The Best Women’s Travel Pant

Tried and tested, the Kuhl Kultivatr Pant is ideal for your next trip. It rolls up tight in your suitcase and is a stylish addition to your travel wardrobe. Whether sightseeing in the streets of Portland or in a posh art gallery, the casual cargo-style pant is making a comeback. With the variety of colors Kuhl provides, you can mix and match with any casual top and look great.
