Why I Loved It (Mostly)
Let’s keep it real: the Heathman is an iconic part of Portland history, and I wanted to love it. The lobby oozes old-school charm, my top-floor city view was gorgeous, and the shower? Divine. Plus, I did appreciate the French press setup in the room—very PNW.

But… my check-in experience was bumpy. A knock on the door from housekeeping 10 minutes after I arrived (yikes), thin walls that made me very aware of my neighbors’ conversations, and Wi-Fi that played hard to get.
