Great Pacific Northwest Products I Use on My Adventures

Are you looking for some outdoor gear for your next travel adventure?

Here are some awesome outdoor travel products coming from the Pacific Northwest that will outfit the explorer in you.

Without mentioning the obvious (ahem, *cough *Nike* don’t-get-me-wrong-I-like-Nike *cough*). Sorry Nike, you get an honorable mention here, but you are too big for your britches. I will always go for the little guy, each and every time.

I am proud to say I have had the pleasure of using every one of the products below, and my recommendations are included with each paragraph. I invite you to find out for yourself how awesome these all are!

Keen. Headquartered in Portland, my Keen sandals got me safely through hiking the Narrows in Utah. In water, no less. They are designed with the airiness of a sandal, with lots of traction and the toe protection of a shoe. They look pretty badass, as well! And here’s a link for the guy’s version of the same sandal.

Dakine. Born and raised in Hood River, OR, Dakine makes some of the best backpacks and luggage you can find in the marketplace. They are sturdy. They are durable. And they look pretty damn stylish.

Columbia Sportswear. Another iconic brand known and loved the world over, but not quite as in-your-face as Nike. So I will give them a proper shout-out! I have been wearing this jacket through all of the Pacific Northwest weather, and it holds up year after year. You will definitely turn heads in this color. Here is a great Columbia men’s jacket that my partner owns.

I also have this Diamond Candy jacket and love how they consistently combine fashion with durability and affordability!

Danner. A Portland name synonymous with hiking boots. These are my favorite and I never forget them for my outdoor adventure trips. Their high-quality durable design and great traction are perfect for the trail, for skiing or for just trekking through the streets of Portland. Here’s a great men’s Danner boot that will stand the test of time and the elements.

Ruffwear. For those of us who like to take the pooch with us everywhere we go, here is a brand just for them! Ruffwear has been outfitting your furry friends with stylish and affordable gear including portable dog bowls, collars, and other accessories for your fur baby.

Outdoor Research. Another exceptional outfitter perfect for Pacific Northwest adventures, or wherever your wanderlust may take you. All of their products are stylish and fare remarkably well for years of abuse from the elements. This jacket even makes me feel a little sexy!

For a great guy’s version, check out this style. I would definitely want to be seen on the trail with this dude! And here’s the style in the photo at the top of this post.

Seattle Sports. Outdoor gear for every occasion, every season, every reason. Hey, that rhymes, look at me! This cooler is worth its weight in gold. Okay, it doesn’t weigh that much, but it’s affordable and will last a very long time!

Sherpa Adventure Gear is born out of love and respect for the Nepalese people. And their clothing and accessories are hella fashionable, warm and make you look your best outdoors. This hat stays on my head until my head hits the pillow on chilly days.
